Tribute to Reginald Shepherd

Edward Byrne has written a moving tribute to Reginald Shepherd who died September 11, 2008, while struggling with colon cancer. Author of seven books, the most recent being Fata Morgana (2007) and Orpheus in the Bronx (2008), Shepherd's last blog entry is dated August 26, 2008. He kept a blog during the last two years of his life, with detailed entries reflecting deeply about poetry and his own literary identity.

Emily Warn offers a poetic tribute to Shepherd.
